| InstantEMailer (IEM) is a small program to access to email messages fast and without
risks. With IEM you can send emails (with attachments too), open to an unlimited number of POP3 servers and read / delete messages directly on the server without download it. IEM can expose you to a virus risk, because can't decode contents of received emails. You can also download onli messages headers (without body), so connections are more fast than other clients. | Run (menu) After run, you can find IEM in the traybar. The icon shows connection status, so you can see differens symbol on the icon. To open (and close) IEM window just click on the icon with left button or click with ther right button to show the IEM menu.  The ITM main window has an info bar on the top, the working area on the middle, the status bar on bottom. |
| Connection status (menu) Cclicking on the icon on the info bar (or on the 'internet' word), you can see the 'internet connection status' of your computer.. Informations on the dialog are static, so you can't interact with check boxes. With 'connect' you can start connection procedures of your pc. If you change something (ex. in the control panel) you can update parameters with 'status'.  Connection are maded with internal pc settings (RAS). |
| Send configuration To send mails you can set parameters for the SMTP server you are using to send mails. Normally is the SMTP server of the provider you are using to connect to internet. You must insert server address, sender name, sender e-mail address for answers.  Actually IEM can't support ssl connections and relay server external than your ISP. We can add these features in next releases. |
| Receive configuration. (menu) You can configure al unlimited POP3 servers. Every server is identified by a 'profile', so you cant have two profiles withsame name. By default IEM controls all profiles configured. You can select wich profile open checking the row you want. A click on the column header select / deselect all profiles. Profiles can be added, modified, deleted; you can use buttons on bottom or a click with right mouse button.  Profile data are the profile name, the POP3 server address, the user name and the user password to open mailbox.  Actually IEM can't support ssl connections and relay server external than your ISP. We can add these features in next releases. |
| Send (menu) Fast send is a very easy way to send emails. You can insert recipient address, the subject, attachment (only one per message in this release) and clicking on 'sens' button mail is delivered.  All messages sended are logged.  To emty log just click with the right button on the log window. |
| Receive (menu) You can control mailboxes manually or in automatic mode. You can download entire message or only headers (is the default). With 'run' button tou can check mailboxex. Checking the 'auto' checkbox you start the auytomatic mode. You can also decide interval for the automatic control; default is 10 minutes.  You can delete messages on the server directly from IEM. To do that disable (if checked) the automatic control, check messages to delete and click on the 'delete' button. You can't recover delete messages. If you have downloaded entire message you can see a preview of the content double clicking on the message row. The preview can't decode the message, so you can see some garbage but virus, links, images can do nothing to your system..  |
